Child Advocacy (PGAL)
Private guardian ad litem services.
Whenever there are concerns about a parent’s ability to meet the best interests of a child, courts can appoint a specially trained, private attorney to represent the child’s wishes and advocate on their behalf—a private guardian ad litem (or PGAL).
We have experience with many different child advocacy situations:
Minor children of all ages (including infants)
Adult children with intellectual disabilities
Allegations of abuse, neglect or dependency
Allegations of parental alienation
Children identifying as LGBTQ+ or questioning their identity
Name and gender changes for minors
Representing children at trial
Parent-time disputes
Co-parenting issues
Preparing for mediation
